Suffering with Anxiety
Hey!!
I have written this post because I know a lot of people around my age are suffering with anxiety problems and for that to be leading to depression, so I thought it would be a good idea to write about my experiences suffering wit anxiety and the ways that I tried to control and overcome the feeling of anxiety.
I do suffer from anxiety and I used to be unaware of what to do when this feeling overcame me. I used to have really bad panic attacks half way through last year and they continued. Many situations in life can cause you to feel like this. For me, it was the fact that I had fallen out with all of my friends and the new ones I hung around with didn't even bother with me. That is also the same for this year that no one has bothered with me but I have coped in many other ways. I did also have problems with exams, teachers, family problems and lots of other little situations but everything does get better!! You just need to find the right coping mechanism for this.
There are many ways for you to be able to control your feelings of anxiety and panic attacks. I did go to the doctors for some help with mine because I didn't know what to do and I found that they didn't really help me but someone in college did, and they gave me lots of advice on anxiety and how to be able to control panic attacks and it has really helped me.
One technique which I thought worked well was blowing up a balloon or blowing into a paper bag. I found that these worked to control your breathing patterns and to calm down the nerves. Also, having cups of tea really helped me and I have started to drink it a lot more, and the technique I am using now is actually the Rescue Remedy black current flavoured pallets which are just like jelly sort of sweets to help calm the nerves and all have natural herbs in and are 100% not addictive!! (which is good as some medications can cause that). You can purchase these at 'Holland&Barrett's'.
I do recommend that if you suffer from anxiety and panic attacks you do try these, as they will help in so many ways and really calm your nerves. If you want any more advice on suffering with anxiety please feel free to message me through twitter or email and I can get back to you asap!!
You don't need to suffer alone!! I hope this post has really helped because I know these sort of problems can get pushed aside and forgot about.(unfortunately)
Have a great Day/Evening/Night

All I can say is wow! I had an anxiety attack just two days ago, and I just felt completely useless and broken; this just hits close to home. I have been hesitant to write about my anxiety on my blog, but your post has inspired me to rethink this.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much!
Great post! I must try the Rescue Remedy sweets. I use the Rescue Remedy Spray but I think the sweets might be better as they'd last longer :) x
